Maui Sounds is a family owned and operated business with a goal of giving you the best sound quality and output for your vehicle.   

Currently we are focusing on the 2nd and 3rd generation Tacoma. We have tested over 16 different enclosure designs / subwoofer combinations in the cab (not predicted computer simulation) and we have found that the (3) 6.5" subwoofer combination performs the best overall.   

We have tested bigger subwoofers like (2) 12", (3) 10", (3) 8",  and even (4) 6.5" that resulted in a lower performance.  With the available amount of air space behind the rear seat, the bigger subwoofers or higher quantity of subwoofers do not produce the deeper bass notes as well.  With the (3) 6.5" subwoofers there is enough airspace left to tune the port to have a wider bandwidth, deeper, louder, and cleaner bass vs the bigger subwoofers or higher quantity of subwoofers.
